My practice began with an interest in memory and fiction, starting with Still Life, a series in which I created new compositions by drawing from 17th century Dutch still life paintings. This led to drawing my grandparents’ farm from memory in Plank Road, and drawing from museum studies at the Natural History Museum in Halifax. Merging these interests, I began making drawings that recorded singular subjects in The Archive, relating to museum studies, found objects, drawn from life, dreams, and memory.
