First-year MFA/PhD cohort exhibition
Thursday 16 April 2026 6–10PM
With Katie Belcher, Edie Fake, Emily C. R. Hill, Sam Digges Hunter, Sasha J. Langford, Lee Su-Feh, Jonathan Middleton, Kevin Romain, and Masha Weisberg.
SFU School for the Contemporary Arts is pleased to announce Levers & Counterweights, a one-night presentation of works by students in the first-year graduate-level Studio in Contemporary Arts class. While the works in the exhibition vary significantly, drawing from distinct and multiple disciplinary influences, the selection of works reflects conversations that have unfolded over the course of the last two terms. A notable recurring topic over this period has been the recognition that small actions and reactions can influence, develop into, or make part of, larger systems – even at a global scale.
Doors at 6PM | Performances start at 7PM
